Scripted for success: How Haremi brought TV production office training to life

  • Haremi team

When ScreenSkills – the UK's leading training body for the screen and media industries – needed a new e-learning course to support production office crew working in high-end TV, they turned once again to Haremi.

This latest course explores the essential paperwork that keeps scripted productions running smoothly. From scripts and schedules to legal documents, insurance, and accounts, it's everything production teams need to know – explained clearly, engagingly, and with real-world relevance.

How Haremi helped bring the content to life:

  • Interactive learning elements and dynamic animations – crafted in collaboration with one of our newest media production studio partners – kept learners engaged from start to finish. Realistic scenarios and open-ended questions helped users apply what they learned in practical, meaningful ways.
  • A screen from the 'Script format' section of the e-learning course, allowing the learner to click on features of a sample script scene to find out more about them.
  • Behind the scenes, we worked hand-in-hand with ScreenSkills' subject matter experts and stakeholders, adapting quickly and flexibly to feedback. Our agile approach meant we could keep things moving without compromising on quality.
  • And because accessibility matters, we built the course to be fully inclusive in line with our digital accessibility best practice. That meant audio-only versions, alt text, captions, transcripts, and Easy Read documents, plus rigorous testing across browsers and platforms to meet a detailed set of acceptance criteria.
  • A screen from the 'Child licences' section of the e-learning course, allowing the learner to watch an animation to find out more about the child licence process and click to open a transcript of the animation.

The result was a fully accessible, interactive, and informative course, delivered on time, on budget, and now live on the ScreenSkills online training hub.
