Our Social Commitments

Haremi's mission statement puts our positive contribution to the world of education at the heart of what we do.

We combine high-quality content with impeccable service to create outstanding learning experiences for everyone. Together we use our heads and follow our hearts to make a positive impact on people's lives.

Our pledges

Our people, planet and economic pledges encapsulate the ways we will make a positive impact on the environment and society, ensuring that a more sustainable future is delivered for current and future generations. As an employee-owned business, we have the freedom to innovate and invest for long-term sustainability.

We'll be a role model for equality within the learning industries, ensuring equal opportunities for people of all genders, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds and people from other minority groups.

The high-quality educational resources we create for schools, publishers and other learning organisations will help reduce inequalities and provide opportunities for people around the world.

Closer to home, we'll develop strong links with schools in our local community, to support education provision for students of all backgrounds.

Our environmental targets will be ambitious and our commitment to minimising our environmental impact will be integrated into all aspects of our business, such as our energy choices, our workplace policies and the ways we choose to travel.

We'll promote the ways we're contributing to a greener and healthier planet.

We'll conduct business in a way that generates profits but also considers the broader economic implications for our employee-owners, customers, suppliers and local communities. Our financial decisions will be motivated by our desire to do good.

All of our employee-owners will be fairly rewarded for their contribution to our business. The UK will remain our place of corporate taxation, to fund business infrastructure, public services and help reduce the unequal distribution of wealth.

We'll work with our customers and suppliers to ensure good working conditions and fair pay throughout the supply chains we're part of.

We'll fundraise and donate to carefully chosen charities to help them achieve their missions.
