Oxford University Press – A reusable architecture and authoring tool

The publisher was looking to create a system that would provide efficiencies in the development of their digital products. We were asked to help design and spec a system that the publisher could use for all of their CD based products, as well as provide a way to author and develop interactive Flash content. Working with internal teams and an external developer, we created wireframes and an outline functional specification. A full technical specification was then agreed and development began.

We provided a consultancy service throughout development, making sure that what was developed was in line with the specification and clarifying the requirements as required. The architecture was branded OxBox, a hugely successful system that now supports many of Oxford University Press' KS3, GCSE and A Level series.
